  • The Bahro Conflict

The whole bahro war is a quite interesting experience. Most people agree that the bahro should have been freed, in my opinion, no one should have to work against their will, however, the bahro should not have been liberated as such a quick pace. As much "good" as it did for them I feel as if they were enslaved for a reason.

These bahro creatures hardly seem docile.

Ohh sure, the bahro that are with us now seem nice enough, but how do we know whether or not the ones that came among us were "freed" yet, how do we know their "wedge, donut" (which I prefer to call a stone tablet) is not still in an age the DRC haven't released to us yet. Personally, I think they weren't ready.

I think the D'ni maybe have enslaved bahro not just for the purpose of free slaves, but they may have been a nussance in the cavern, but a powerful one, that can be controlled. Now that we don't have them as slaves, theres room for them to be fruitful and multiply.

Thank Yahvo the D'ni are gone, but who are these people, are these the D'ni coming back? Something must be done. Not they can't be, they dress different and speak in different tongues. Its a good way to disguise themselves isn't it, how do we know they simply didn't learn it to hide themselves from us? They aren't though, theres just no way. Well, I'm going to stop them. No you can't. What? You heard me, you can't attack them, we don't know if they mean us harm or not. They're D'ni, of course they do, they will be able to build and enslave us again. They are not D'ni. Yes they are, and I'm going to stop them!! If you want to stop them, you'll have to go through me. Fair enough.....

Violence, will only create more violence. I think Yeesha wants us to find a way to make these "negisahl" bahro. I'm sure if we do, they'll live happy. That's the only solution I see now.

I believe that's why they haven't killed us yet....

  • "Find a way, Make a home."

Cavern seems more quiet without the constant echo of our impending doom coming from Kerath's Arch. Its strange though, I remember being in the room where Yeesha said before departing.

"Their leader can be seen clearly. He is missing a large patch of skin on his shoulder - taken from him in the tortuous lab of Esher. Because of that, I will draw them away. Away from the cavern. Away from you. I do not know how long the evil ones will seek me... I do not know how long they will seek what I carry. It could be only days, it could be months."

The theories are all around, it could have been a metaphor, or "what she carried" was a physical object. That's not what we should be concerned about though, the big concern is whatever it is, what does it do, and how powerful is it.

More importantly, why are we still alive, one point that many have come to realize is, why is it that the bahro have choosen not to slay us, they are faster, stronger, and more powerful than we are right? Or is that nessassarily true? Is there some power within us that either repels them or they that rely upon?

"Find a way, Make a home."

Many ponder at the meaning behind this phrase, I think I know, to a degree.

"Find a way."- This could be hinting at some kind of evacuation plan, or referring to us trying to actually find a way TO make a home.

"Make a home."- Now this could easily mean D'ni, but if we have found one there, but Yeesha is still telling us we need to, so obviously, we haven't done so yet. I do believe the phrase hints at age creation, this could either be for us or for the nekisahl bahro.

There are many lessons for D'ni to teach us, the bahro displayed that on the 5th of November, when they braught us Myst, the very purpose of them bringing it was to show us what happens when we lack unity, when we lack unity we will destroy ourselves.

We in Uru are a family, we look out for each other. If someone falls behind, pick them up, or we'll never find a way.

  • Introduction

I came to Uru on April 12th 2007, I remember the feeling of utter lonliness and solitude that I often felt in previous Myst games, but this was different, Uru was an online community, yet why was I so lonely? Took me a while to get into "the loop", after joining Uru Obsession's Bevin on April 18th, 2007, the very same day having my first and last SWN. I took the time to get to know my neighbors and pretty soon became to a certain degree a "community leader."

I'm keeping this to tell me story the best I can, this isn't nessassarily IC, because whoever you are I consider someone's "character". This story will just be a discovery of life, because thats what life, and Uru, is all about.

    Discovery.

And now you have come here, for the same reason you have come to D'ni, that thirst for discovery.

    The Calling.
